a black friday tarot sale!
a gift with a guarantee of no supply chain issues, a heads up about Sunday's "Chrysalis" show, and the ticket link to the winter solstice concert
Hey Hartlist,
It’s the day after Thanksgiving, and somehow I am not in a food coma.
I went to the usual Big Family day-long, table-groaning, everyone-cooks festivals… and had one plate of food. I’ve either learned restraint or something else has changed. (Perhaps I’ve just … created More Room Within? Don’t worry -that’s not this week’s metaphor - can you imagine.)
A few things were different this year. I somehow made my dishes1 on Wednesday night and spent Thursday morning in a yoga class (!), I cleaned my place before i left (!!), I didn’t watch the parade and it was fine, we had our first 20-person indoor gathering since Before, and it was at my cousin’s new place in Spuyten Duyvil, where I immediately wanted to move, both for the river views and the chance to say “Spuyten Duyvil” all day.
So here’s another thing I’ve never done before (and I mean both this offer and my attempt at ‘copy’, *shiver*):
*A BLACK FRIDAY TAROT READING SALE WHY NOT*
The end of the year is a very good time for reflection and planning, but “New Years’ Resolutions” remain as Not-Fun as ever. Before we even get there, we have ‘gift giving season’ which I guess starts … now. In case I haven’t mentioned it, I have a couple of decades of experience giving intuitive readings and guidance using, yes, Tarot cards. These are not ‘psychic readings’ or fortune telling, but they are special and I am often “given” as a gift (no not like that). It is a cool and unusual present for the right person that doesn’t involve mailing anything.2 For the next two weeks, book a gift reading for someone in your life and get your own at a discount. Click the button below or just message me back for scheduling and details.
That’s enough of that.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON join me for THE CHRYSALIS 58(?): LIGHTS, a short livestream set celebrating the first night of Chanukah and the start of The Season.
If you would prefer to laugh, sing along (maybe), and hear other musicians with me, get thee to the Rockwood Music Hall on December 22, 7PM for Rebecca Hart & Friends: a WINTER SOLSTICE show. Tickets are - wait:
Or have both! There’s plenty for all! Why be restrained. Do as I say not as I ate thanksgiving.
Off to bundle up and see the wintry “Lightscape” at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden! Will report back.
Love
rebecca
Bon Appetit string beans with miso and garlic - make these - and cranberry-orange chutney.
I do have some cute gift cards if you want to wrap something.
