hey hartlist,
i’m back, baby.
I can’t think of a better way to Re-Entry than this: a beautiful summer afternoon (ok it was hot as $@%), a crowd of friends, a cooler of beverages, a rooftop ‘stage’ with the statue of liberty behind us, a great opening act , and absolutely palpable joy and appreciation for being in a space together, singing in harmony, socializing in real time, hugging, laughing, clapping, and being LIVE. Which is like alive, but better.

“the barren(s)” - libretto by me, music by amber vistein- is the 2nd in a trio of worthy bite-size operas. This link features cute interviews with all us nervous creatives and beautifully filmed renditions of the operas on the Washington National Opera stage, 13 piece orchestra in the background. I won’t forget this soon.
The release date for the Manhattan School of Music film of IRON JOHN: an american ghost story, remains, like its hero, elusive and mysterious. Stay tuned…
SEE YOU SOON
