Hey Hartlist,
music news. so much to say so much to say i’ll just start
Saturday night you guys I went down to the Kraine in the East Village and performed IN PERSON, opening for comedian Liam McEneaney to a limited, vaccinated house. I did TWO new tunes and an old chestnut; it looks like the video is still up on YouTube if you missed it. It was such a rush to be out there again; if you look very closely you can see tears happen mid-song #2. (I held it together.)
Sunday afternoon I did… The Last Chrysalis (for a while, in this form)! #50: THE MOTHER OF ALL THINGS; catch the replay here. The Internet has not seen the last of me; I’ll be back. But a HUGE thank you to everyone who watched, commented, tipped, was there every week of this crazy year. From the bottom of my heart.
And Now Hear This: TWO LIVE SHOWS:
Saturday, JUNE 5 at 4PM myself & the Wrong Band will cautiously re-enter society with a gig in Brooklyn on our bass player’s roof! Pay what you can, limited outdoor space, reserve here. Matt’s Viking Fiddle Trio North Folk opens.
Thursday, July 8 at 730PM I’ll be returning to the Kraine Theatre in Manhattan with the band for the annual Not My Birthday Show! You must be vaccinated to attend in person but they’ll offer a livestream as well. Multi-instrumentalist and downtown luminary Pearl Rhein will open.
Hope to see you (really SEE you) soon,
RH
